Our story
A practice built around finish.
The Electrical Collective began with a frustration shared by every good interior designer we know: beautiful projects, let down at the last mile by careless electrical work.
Cables chased into the wrong place. Switches slightly off true. Lighting schemes installed exactly as drawn but nothing like how the room is actually used. Again and again, months of careful design were undone in the final weeks by work done in a hurry.
So Rob built the practice he wanted to hire — treating the electrics as part of the interior, not a service that runs behind it. He reads the drawings properly, plans around the other trades, arrives on the day he promised, and leaves the house ready for the decorator, not before.
Today Rob works alongside homeowners, architects and designers across London, Sussex and Surrey — leading every project personally, and bringing in trusted electrical specialists from a hand-picked circle when a project's scale calls for it. The idea has not changed: the electrical work in a beautiful home should be as considered as the interiors around it.

Craft before speed
We plan the electrical work around how a home is actually lived in, not around what is quickest to install. The details you notice are the ones we obsess over.
Respect for the home
Dust sheets down, floors protected, tools away at the end of every day. You should barely notice we are there — until you see the result.
Plain speaking
Clear quotes, clear programmes and straight answers. If something changes on site, you hear it from us first, with options — not surprises.
In it for the long term
We are still here long after the decorator has been in. The homes we work in stay on our books, and we look after them like they are our own.
Who you'll work with
Led by Rob.
Every project is led personally by Rob — from the first survey to the final handover. For larger jobs he brings in trusted electricians he has worked with for years, never an agency roster, so whoever is on site was chosen for the same standards.
